Some things you need to know.
The purpose of the Affiliated Provider logo is to identify your facility/practice as one that is affiliated to Southern Cross Health Society for selected services. The logo can be used in the advertising and promotion of those services in a range of media - including newspaper advertising, websites, signage and brochures - in accordance with these guidelines.
Please remember, when using the logo in your advertising and marketing it should not compete with, be larger than, or sit right next to your facility's or practice's logo. Your brand should remain prominent.
In these guidelines, "logo" means the Southern Cross Health Society Affiliated Provider graphic device set out in this document.
You will need to register and agree to the terms of the End User Licence Agreement, including to use the logo in accordance with these guidelines. You can then provide the logo to your suppliers (eg graphic designers, sign-makers) to incorporate in work done on your behalf, but you remain responsible for complying with the terms.
Please ensure that you seek Southern Cross approval for use of the Affiliated Provider logo before your material is published or produced. You can do this by contacting us using the details on the back page of these guidelines.

Different versions of the logo are available.
The logo should not be changed in any way. It is available in a variety of formats to ensure the best resolution and colour reproduction in different media.
The black and white version can be used where colour reproduction is unavailable.
There are four different variants available:
The smallest size you can use the logo at.
For best reproduction and legibility do not produce the Primary logo any smaller than 32mm in width and 16mm in height (150px in width and 75px in height on screen).
As it has been designed to be ‘badge-like’ the logo does not require clear space. It can sit on coloured, textured or photographic backgrounds.
Situations and examples of when it is appropriate to use the Affiliated Provider logo.
The logo can be used when promoting those services that are provided to Southern Cross members through an Affiliated Provider agreement. Examples might include:
The logo can also be used when promoting your facility/practice as a whole, provided that the majority of your services are provided to Southern Cross members through an Affiliated Provider agreement.

Remember, even in these instances the logo should be appropriately sized so that it is not larger or more prominent than your own facility/practice logo. And, where practical, accompanying wording on a web page or advertisement should state:
[Practice/facility name] is an Affiliated Provider to Southern Cross Health Society for <service1>, <service2> and <service 3>.
[Practice/facility name] is an Affiliated Provider to Southern Cross Health Society for selected services.
Under no circumstances should the logo be used in any context that states or implies that specific services are available to Southern Cross members under an Affiliated Provider agreement when that is not the case. Advertising should not mislead Southern Cross members in this way.
Please ensure you contact us for approval BEFORE you produce any brochure or signage, or publish any advertisement or webpage, on which the logo is to appear.

Do not change the words in the logo.

Do not change the scale of the Southern Cross symbol relative to the blue square.
Do not create your own device to represent your Southern Cross relationship.
Do not put a box or key line around the logo.
Do not attach or combine the logo with any other logo device.
Our colour pallette
The brand colour palette is dominated by white space for a crisp, modern look. SKYBLUE is our core brand colour.
Whenever possible, use Hostmann- Steinberg (HS) 'Southern Cross Spot' colours for consistency.
Charcoal and Black are only used for text purposes. Charcoal can be used instead of black for a softer, more human appearance.
Our chosen Typeface and Fonts.
Omnes has been chosen as our brand typeface due to its crisp forms which strike a balance between being professional and 'human'. It has a vast family of typefaces, which offer design flexibility.
Arial is our typeface for HTML and word processing where Omnes is unavailable.
Additional guidelines for radio advertising.
Radio advertising which refers to your affiliation with Southern Cross Health Society should relate to the services provided under your Affiliated Provider agreement. For example, "[Practice / facility name] is an Affiliated Provider to Southern Cross Health Society for [contracted services]".
Please ensure you send your radio advertisement scripts for approval by Southern Cross prior to recording. You can find our contact details here.
Affiliated Providers include surgeons, specialists and facilities who are contracted to provide Southern Cross members with certain procedures at agreed prices. Learn more here.
This is a completely new website so your existing Southern Cross or BrandFM login credentials will NOT work here. Unless your user account has been setup by Southern Cross, you will need to register.
Permission is required for each use of the Affiliated Provider logo, as indicated when you go to download. Please complete the 'access request form' to request permission. Ensure that you seek Southern Cross' approval for use of the Affiliated Provider logo before your material is published or produced.
